The Big Reveal Part 2: My apartment!
I’ve finally made a video to show my apartment here in Seoul!
When you teach English in Korea, the particular school that you are placed at picks your actual apartment, so you never know what to expect! I’ve already heard stories of apartments with no furniture, some that have cockroaches and others that are just teeny tiny. Luckily, I love mine and most of my friends are very happy with theirs too. My apartment is located in the Guro area, and it is a 5-10 min walk from one of the most useful subway lines in Seoul. Though the actual neighborhood isn’t anything too special, the apartment sure is, and with the subway station so close I can get anywhere!

Hi Jessica – LOVED your apartment video! It looks really nice and you did a great job of presenting it! You are a natural! Maybe acting is a career you should look into as well! What a great and fun adventure you are having! Also glad you have friends there – I think you are going to have a fabulous year! Your mom tells me you are teaching elementary ages – that age is so much fun. How’s the language barrier working out? I bet you can speak more and more Korean! When I was in France, I just looked up the words for beer, wine and cheese. haha. That got us thru!
By the way, I hate to bring up anything negative, but don’t go to Thailand for a visit for a while – there’s some mysterious food poisoning deaths going on in Chiang Mai. Soroya, a 33 year old friend of a friend our our family, was one of the deaths. On a brighter subject – all is well in Fallbrook. Your mama and I played golf yesterday – we did not make anyone proud 😦 but we’ll try it again soon! Beautiful weather today, with rain expected over the weekend. Bill & I may be having a Nala fix this weekend if your p’s find a place to go camp!

Jill- Thanks! I am glad you enjoyed it! soon I’ll be posting about my classes etc. As for the Korean, it actually doesn’t absorb too quickly and since I speak so much English I really have to study on my own time to figure out words/numbers. I do know the words for the popular food dishes and beer brands though 🙂
I probably won’t be heading to Thailand till the winter rolls back around, so no worries! Thanks for the info.
